Establishment of PAVEZYUM Kimya

Company

Pavezyum Kimya is established on the 16th of January 2008 as ‘Pavezyum Kimya Sanayi Dış Ticaret Limited Şirketi’ in İstanbul – Turkey.

March 2008

Initial Plant Site

Factory

The first production site is located in Tuzla İstanbul Turkey.

Production

Initial amorphous elemental boron powder production with a purity grade of 86%-wt.

Adding new products with alternative production techniques.  The first boron powder with 90-92% purity grade by weight is achieved.

The first elemental boron production in Turkey at the industrial scale.

Production

Improvement on the chemical techniques enabled sustainable amorphous Boron production with 93 – 95%-wt purity grade. PVZ B93.  This product will transform into PVZ B95 as a result of the process improvements.

Production

Atomized Magnesium production is started in order to provide internal demands and PVZ Mg is added on the product list in 2010.  However, this production line is discontinued later in 2015.

The idea of coating Boron with metals dates back to 2010.  Magnesium coated Boron studies resulted a new dimension on the product group at Pavezyum: Metal Coated Boron

2011

Breakthrough – Nano Boron

Pavezyum discovers the Nano Boron

PVZ nB

The first commercial Nano Boron production line with 98.5%-wt. boron content in Turkey and in the World.  New product: PVZ nB

The nano size of amorphous boron powder dramatically changes the chemical and physical properties of conventional Boron based compounds such as MgB2 which enabled a breakthrough in the academic and the industrial applications.

The second and larger production site nearby became necessary with the growth of production lines.  Production continues at Orhanlı Istanbul Turkey.

Introduction of nano boron lead to developments of the various applications such as the breakthrough on the superconductivity of Magnesium Diboride.  MgB2 wires prepared by using n-B is being used in the accelerometers of the Large Hadron Particle Collider at CERN.

B-Al-Mg Binary and Ternary Compounds

Development of Aluminium, Magnesium and Boron binary/ternary compounds initiated a new approach among Pavezyum products.  This is the first time that other than elemental Boron is studied and realized to be produced industrially: PVZ B – Al – Mg family

Batch Production of Aluminium Boride compounds as PVZ Exclusives.  Aluminium diboride (AlB2) and aluminium dodecaboride (AlB12) production began.

  • 99.7%-wt. purity hexagonal Boron Nitride powder
  • 80-98%-wt. purity BN slurry for Aluminium Welding Sector
    • Slurries are applicable both in paintable brush and sprayable emulsion form.  
  • Amorphous Boron Nitride mid-product upon request
